Versa Gibson Hebert

The sun broke through the clouds on Friday, March 6, as Versa Gibson Hebert went to heaven surrounded by loving family members. She was born on March 18, 1925 in Oconto Falls to Walter and Myrtle (Rice) Lucas. Versa was a stay at home mother who devoted her life to caring for her family. Her concern for her family was foremost in her mind, even as her health deteriorated. Although Versa did not finish school, she was a lifelong learner. She was always trying new hobbies, including woodworking, leather work, photography and developing her own pictures, computer, IPad and most recently printing pictures off her computer. On December 20, 1941, Versa was united in marriage to David Gibson in Oconto, who preceded her in death on August 28, 1974. On July 13, 1985, she was united in marriage to Jack Hebert in De Pere, who preceded her in death on February 24, 2000. Versa is survived by her children and their spouses, Garron (Joyce) Gibson, DePere, WI; Sharron (Paul) Holtz, Cottage Grove, WI; Tom (Patty) Gibson, Green Bay, WI; and Bruce (Ruth) Gibson, Shady Shores, TX; grandchildren and their spouses David (Nicole) Gibson, Garry (Becky) Gibson, Scott (Rhianna) Gibson, Keli Gilbertson, Dennis (Laura) Gilbertson, Michael (Marilyn) Gilbertson, Thomas Gibson, Dan (Kelly) Gibson, Gregory Gibson, Ryan (Carrie) Gibson, Douglas (Jill) Gibson, Jill Gibson, Brad Gibson (and fiancée Amy Champagne) Jason Gibson, Mark (Jennifer) Gibson, Sarah (Michael) Fairfield, Phoenix, AZ; Kelly Maynard, Green Bay, WI; Kim (Andy) Grapa, Middleton, WI; three stepsons and their families, 26 great grandchildren, one sister, Nancy (Jerry) Wendt, De Pere, WI; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her sons David and Donald, one son in law, Dennis Gilbertson; brother, Howard Lucas; three sisters; Shirley Knaus, June Amore, and Evelyn Coopman. Mom, we will miss you and love you always. Your courage through adversities made you an inspiration to us all. We know you are at peace and reunited with all of your loved ones.
