Veronica Guyette

September 10, 1933 — September 12, 2012

Veronica (Corky) Guyette Mom was granted her final prayer when our Lord welcomed her home on September 12, 2012. Veronica was born September 10, 1933 to Paul and Viola (Salszieder) Cornette. She shared her love of children and grandchildren on a daily basis when she told us, ‘I love you so much’. Her deep and abiding faith served her well, especially in her final days. She enjoyed her trailer up north, traveling, fishing, crocheting, playing sheepshead and cribbage. We learned math by counting our hands - fifteen two, fifteen four. Corky worked in various restaurants before she began babysitting in her home. She loved the children she babysat as if they were her own children. Veronica is survived by her six children, Mary (Kevin) Holloway, Joe (Cathy Dunn-Guyette), Kathie Inman, Andy (Linda) Guyette, Roberta (Birdie) (Mike) Schantz and Penny (Paul) Gerhartz; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Pranke , Scooter (Jessina) Holloway, Rebecca Baker, Troy (Sarah) Inman, Tracey Inman, Cassie Ricks (special friend, Glenn), Cara Guyette (special friend, Jamie), Andy, Aaron (USMC), Joe and Holly Schantz, and Randi Daigneault; her great-grandchildren, Tori (USAF) and Rikki Inman, Wolfgang Inman, Brandon Baker (Rachael), Cortney Pranke (fiancé, Joseph) and Nicholas Pranke, Hunter and Nolan Ricks, Jarren, Cullen and Della Holloway and one great-great- grandson, Cameron Baker. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Verna Cornette, Betty Cornette, Sue Guyette and Leona Peters and brothers-in-law, Sylvester Guyette , Carl (Shirley) Peters, Gary Simon and Gordon Karnopp and a special cousin, Bev (Richard) Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Richard Guyette, three grandchildren, Todd Inman, CJ Inman, and Jami Daigneault; one son-in-law, Harvey (Rick) Inman; her brothers Hubert, Lee, Tony and Edward Cornette, and her sister, Theresa Karnopp. Veronica’s family would like to thank Ann Henrigillis for the years she cared for mom, it was a friendship she very much enjoyed; the staff at Rennes Nursing Home and the staff of Unity Hospice for their kindness and concern during this difficult time. We also want to thank her friends at Mission Heights Apartments for their support and prayers, and also Janet “the cookie lady”. Good night, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite. We love you very much.
