Beatrice, Vernon’s wife of 69 years, preceded him in death on January 26, 2006. Vernon was a sales representative for Oshkosh B’Gosh, retiring at the age of 72. Vern started his own watch business after retirement and continued to do what he so enjoyed well into his nineties. Vern was a kind and generous man who loved and cared for his family. He enjoyed walking, working on his rental properties and spending time with his family, especially spending time with his great-granddaughter, Josalyn. He will be deeply missed by his three children: David (Mary Ellen) Kussow, Madison, Donald Kussow, De Pere, and Amy Ward, De Pere; four grandchildren: J. Blair (Racheale) Ward, Stevens Point, Kami B. Ward, De Pere, Caren Bugay, Florida, and Cynthia (Scott) Kornetzke, Georgia; five great-grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Julia, Joshua, and Josalyn; two nephews, Kenneth Wierschke, Wrightstown, and Dale Wierschke, Green Bay; and many other beloved relatives. In addition to his parents and wife, Vern was preceded in death by his sister, Florence; brother, Alfred; and nephews, Dale and Darrell Kussow.
