Vanita M. Pennenberg, 91, Wrightstown, passed peacefully to Eternal life on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at a local hospital. She was born October 2, 1920 in Wrightstown, daughter to the late William and Martha (Kersten) Kamps. She graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1938, and married Raymond “Butch” T. Pennenberg, June 7, 1929, and he preceded her in death March 19, 1976. She farmed all her life with dad and her family. After retirement she loved traveling, playing cards, and praying the rosary. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Robert (Judy) Pennenberg, Diane (Gary “Lou”) Gezella, and Marlin Pennenberg; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; one sister, Laverne Treichel; and a brother, Lyle (Eva) Kamps. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 sons, Thomas and Donald; and a sister, Elaine Green. Family and friends may call Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul site—Wrightstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday at church. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Homes and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
