Thomas "Tommy" Bostedt

January 17, 1961 — May 29, 2010

Thomas J. “Tommy” Bostedt, 49, De Pere, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends, following an inspirational and courageous battle with Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma. He was born January 17, 1961 in Green Bay, son of Jonna and Don Bostedt. Tommy graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1979, and received his Associate Degree in Model Making from NWTC in 1982. He worked 17 years for Krueger International, and recently for Kohler Co. as an Engineering Technician in New Product Development. Tommy loved spending time with his children and family and friends, and he enjoyed softball, golf, racquetball, gardening, riding his Harley, fixing and repairing anything and everything, inventing, being creative, telling jokes, woodworking, being in his hot tub, and relaxing in a hammock. Tommy always had a way to make everyone smile and to offer a helping hand when needed. He will be deeply missed by his children: Kari aka “Precious” (Jay) Teal, De Pere; and Jonathan Bostedt, De Pere; parents, Jonna and Don Bostedt, Allouez; brothers: Steven (Ann) Bostedt, Allouez, and Richard Bostedt, Henderson, CO; and nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Tom was proudly awaiting the birth of his first grandchild, Baby Girl Teal, due in October. Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, James Bostedt (May 19, 1983); and grandparents: Ed and Luella Bostedt, and Gus and Mildred Wohlk. Family and friends may call Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 347 Libal St., De Pere. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Wilson Roane officiating. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
