Thomas M. Merline, August 29, 1955 – October 28, 2015 Tom passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family after a five-year battle against glioblastoma. He lived a wonderfully rich life centered on family, loyal friendships, and a playful approach to living. Tom brought much joy into the lives of those around him and he will be deeply missed. Throughout his fight with cancer, Tom demonstrated courage and strength every step of the way and maintained his sense of humor to his last day. Drawing from his own father’s advice, Tom always said, “Laughter is the best medicine, so everyday live, love, and laugh out loud.” Because of Tom’s amazing network of friends and family, he and his wife, children, and grandchildren were blessed by years of unwavering and unbelievable support. Our gratitude cannot be expressed in words, but thank you all so much. And finally a special thank you to Dr. Umang Gautam for your amazing care. Thank you Tom Merline for sharing your life with us—Love, Maureen, Josh, Riley, Libby, Amara, Rowan, Arlo, and so many more.
