Thomas Dale Hendra

On September 24th, 2014, Thomas Dale Hendra, son of Alfred and Helen (Quayle) passed away peacefully at Mayo Hospital in Rochester, MN, surrounded by family. Tom was born and raised in Ishpeming, MI and married his high school sweetheart Nikki in 1967. After starting a family, Tom and Nikki moved to Green Bay, WI where Tom began his very successful career with Shopko. After 28 years and seven more children, Tom retired from Shopko in 1998. Besides his work, what really mattered most to him was his loving wife and children. He will be remembered most for his integrity, generosity, devotion to all he knew well, amazing Sunday dinners with his family and his firm handshake. Survived by his wife Nancy, Green Bay; Daughter, Amy (Gregg) Grunewald, Woodbury, MN; Son, Tom Jr (Tracy), De Pere; Son, Steve, Door County; Daughter, Holly (Josh) Wadeen, Watford City, ND; Son, Chad, De Pere; Son, Tim, Green Bay; Son, Adam, Milwaukee; Daughter, Stacey, Green Bay; 13 Grandchildren; Brother, Alfred (Marge), Marquette, MI; sister, Audrey (Brad), Ishpeming, MI; Brother in-law, Stephen Fernea, Ishpeming, MI; 5 Nephews and 2 Nieces. He was preceded in death by an Infant daughter Katie Marie, Mother Helen and Father Alfred, and Mother and Father-in-law. Family and friends may call Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of Memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2911 Libal St., Green Bay, with the Rev.
