Theresa Rose Ann Vondracek, age 93, passed away March 31, 2024. She was born January 16, 1931, to the late Hugh and Nellie (Dwyer) Finnerty on the family farm in Askeaton. Rose Ann graduated from Kaukauna High School and, while working at Knauf and Tesch feed mill in Greenleaf, met her future husband Al, whom she farmed with in Greenleaf. Mom enjoyed crocheting, gardening, fishing, the Packers, bowling, and Friday night fish fries. She volunteered many years as librarian, bookkeeper, and whatever else needed to be done at St. Mary Parish in Greenleaf.
She is survived by her sons: Dan (Doreen) and Dave (Connie); grandchildren: Brittany (Steve) and Kyle; and great-grandchildren: Grayson and Easton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Al; infant son Joseph, grandson Stephen; parents: Hugh and Nellie; brother Clifford (Helen); Al’s parents: Steve and Rose Vondracek; and sisters-in-law: Monica (Floyd Thelen) (Al LeFave), Beata (Bill) Fiel, and Rosemary (Wilbert) Tappa.
Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish- St. Mary Site, 2218 Day Street, Greenleaf, on Friday, April 5, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later time. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.
The family would like to thank all of the past and current staff at Wayside Parkview Estates for all of the wonderful care given to mom through the years. They would also like to extend a special thank you also to Unity Hospice for taking care of mom in her final days.
