Terry Wayne Hussong

Terry Hussong, 56, Wausau, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Terry was born in Manitowoc on December 15, 1959 to Harlan and Evelyn Hussong. He was one of five children. Terry grew up in Maribel and enjoyed little league baseball and fishing. He graduated from Denmark High School in 1978 with Valedictorian honors. In 1982, he graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere. Terry enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy for six years. He worked with communications and was assigned to the USS Mississippi (CGN-40). He was primarily stationed out of Norfolk, VA. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Terry moved to Wausau where he worked for various companies as a computer programmer. Terry loved animals and enjoyed his three dogs: Shelby, Sadie, and Peanut. He also enjoyed nature and biking. Terry will always be remembered as someone with a gentle soul and a big heart. Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Hussong, Maribel; sisters: Kathy (Dennis) Robinson, Mishicot; Dr. Susan (David) Schneider, Wausau; brothers: Rick Hussong, Maribel; Scott Hussong, Eden Prairie, MN; nephews: Brent (Pam) Robinson; Christopher Schneider; Connor and Taylor Hussong; niece: Jennifer (John) Derme, Carson City, NV; grandnephews: Isaiah, Josiah, and Aaron Derme. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Hussong; paternal grandparents, Allen and Anita Hussong; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Anna Hynek. Family and friends may visit at Melnik Presbyterian Church, 12320 Melnik Rd, Whitelaw, on Tuesday, August 30 from 9:00am until 10:45am. The Funeral Service for Terry will be celebrated at 11:00am with Phil Kinzel (CRE) officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
