Teresa "Terry" Van Remortel

Teresa “Terry” (Warner) Van Remortel, 50, De Pere, passed away, Monday, March 11, 2013. She was born February 17, 1963 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Terry married Paul Van Remortel in Green Bay on October 2, 1998. She had worked at A.M.S., Bellin Health, and Cardiology Associates. She was also a licensed Beautician. Terry was a strong political activist and environmentalist, and had served as a Delegate to the Democratic Party Convention. She enjoyed painting with charcoal, as well as with both oil and water based paints. Terry was a history buff and a dog lover, and also loved good wine and good food. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers. Surviving are her husband, Paul; daughters, Athena and Venna Van Remortel; parents, Sybil and Butch Warner; father, Donald Bengivingo; sister, Serena (Scott) Davis; and brothers, Jason Warner and Todd Bengivingo. Also surviving are Paul’s family: mother, Sally Van Remortel; brothers and sisters: Mary Lou DeGrand, John (Kim) Van Remortel, Pete (Deb) Van Remortel, Julie (Greg) Scheer, Joan Arts (special friend, Dave Duffey), Kathy Van Remortel (significant other, Mike Beaumier); Barb (Jeff) White; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins; and the family pet, Willie. Terry was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Anthony Van Remortel. Friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A funeral service for Terry will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with Pastoral Minister, Steve Donovan officiating.
