Sylvia A. “Sam” Graczyk (Schleis), age 61, of Denmark, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at her home. The daughter of Alvin and Agnes (Bosacki) Schleis was born October 29, 1953 in Green Bay. She graduated from Denmark High School and on September 14, 1974, she married Daniel S. Graczyk at All Saints Church in Denmark. Together, they recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. She was employed at Brown County Publishing, Pranges, Suster’s, Goal Post, Rookies and De Grands. Sam was co-founder and coach for 25 years of Girls Youth Softball (Lucky Charms). In addition to being an avid golfer, Sam enjoyed bowling, watching all of her kids and grandkids activities and sporting events. She was a member of All Saints Parish and the Alter Society. Survivors include her husband, Dan; her son, Mike (special friend Jill), her daughter, Michelle (Eric) Guns; grandchildren: (her special little bugs) Riley Guns and Logan Guns; her mother Agnes Schleis; a brother: Jim (Terry) Schleis; sisters: Linda (Dennis) Wanish, her twin, Shirley (Jim) Schauer and Chris (Richie) Leiterman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, mother and father-in-law Melvin and Betty Graczyk; Deb (Nic) Lyons, Dave (special friend Jane) Graczyk, Steve Graczyk, Sandy (Scott) Niles and Cheryl (John) Knuth; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Schleis; a nephew, Rick Wanish, as well as other family and friends. Family and friends may visit at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty Road R, Denmark, on Monday, December 15, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, with a parish prayer service at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, from 10:00 until 10:45am at All Saints Catholic Church, Denmark. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Kevin Ori officiating. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marie, Nicki, Brenda and the staff of Unity Hospice, as well as Dr. Kelly Lynch, Patti and her staff at the Bellin Cancer Team, and to all of her friends, for the care and compassion they showed to Sam and all of her family.
