Susan Lee (De Broux) Brys

Brys, Susan L. “Sue” Sue Brys, age 71 of De Pere passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at a local hospital with her family at her side. Sue was born November 1, 1946 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Albert “Gordy” and Pauline “Betty” (Wallen) De Broux. She was a graduate of Green Bay West High School. She married Daryl Brys, the love of her life, on June 17, 1966. Celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary last year, with her extended family, was a cherished memory. In earlier years she was an avid golfer and bowler. Sue enjoyed playing sheepshead and blackjack, staying at the family cottage and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She is survived by her husband: Daryl Brys; daughter and son-in-law: Polly (Matt) Roeser, Green Bay; son and daughter-in-law: Scott (Nancy) Brys, Sussex, WI; four grandsons: Zakary Roeser, Ripon, WI, Ryley Roeser, Minneapolis, MN, Casey Roeser, Green Bay, Alec Brys, Sussex, WI; step grandson: Ken (Casey) Jaxom, Sussex, WI; step great-grandson: Ender Jaxom. She is also survived by three sisters; one brother; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Mary (John) Walker, Oconto, WI, Vicki (Dick) Radosevich, Annette (Tom) Christensen, Bob (Rosie) De Broux all of Green Bay; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother, David. Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Saturday, December 2, from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. A reception will follow at the Swan Club at Legends in De Pere. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. From the ER, ICU and to the medical floors, we felt like our family was treated with care and compassion. Thank you for your kindness.
