Susan Barbara Schmitt

Susan Barbara Schmitt was born on October 3, 1939 and was the oldest of eight children.  She embraced her role as the eldest child and her wisdom and strong family values were highly regarded by her sisters and brother.   Susan loved her family dearly and her kindness touched each one of their hearts in a special way.   She loved the outdoors and had a special place for everyone at the cottage on the lake.   Susan had a passion for cooking and being creative.  No one ever left her table with an empty stomach and as a grandmother her cookie jar was always full for her six grandchildren.  Susan passed at home on November 25, 2021 with her family by her side.  She will be greatly missed. 

Susan is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Roberta and sons, Thomas (Melanie) and Timothy (Julie); grandchildren, Alex, Aaron, Abby, Breanna, Savannah and Sadie; siblings, Jane Tenor (Roger), Julie Smits, Linda Tourville (John), Louis Mineau (Holly) Mary Bandeau (Brian) and Lois Mineau; and brother-in-law Larry Tenor.Susan was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Mildred Mineau; sister, Jean; brother-in-law, Joe Smits; and cousin, Frank Muehlbauer. 

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at later date.
