Steve Cannon

November 13, 1951 — April 22, 2013

Steve L. Cannon, 61, of the Green Bay area, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born November 13, 1951 in Green Bay, husband of Jeanne, son of Donald and Lorraine (Marion) Cannon. Steve graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1969. He received an IT Programing and Digital Electronics degree. He married Jeanne Peterson in 1983. His career encompassed Perini America and RR Donnelly. Steve enjoyed baseball and was a great catcher. He was well known for his snare drums in high school. Steve also enjoyed fishing and golfing, wooden boat-building, and was a 2nd degree Black Belt. Survivors include his loving wife, Jeanne; mother, Lorraine; two brothers, Patrick Cannon and Daniel Cannon; Uncle and Aunts: Hoddie (Laura) Cannon, Irene (Phil) Gentz and Irene Marion, three nieces: Shaunna, Emma, and Eva Cannon; and two nephews, Brett and Shane. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; and uncles, Denny and Roger Cannon, and Louis Marion and Herby Peterson. Family and friends may call Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere. Visitation will continue on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at First United Presbyterian Church of De Pere, 605 N. Webster Ave., with the Rev. Luke Farwell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
