Shirley M. Hannon, 82, Allouez, passed away February 8, 2011. Daughter of the late Frank M. and Mary (Melotte) Hannon was born August 21, 1928 in Green Bay. She had a long career at Green Bay Packaging. Shirley was a member of the MacDowell Club for music enthusiasts. She also volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital, and she sang in the funeral choir at St. Mary and St. Francis Churches. Shirley also enjoyed traveling, reading, music, and nature. Survivors include her two brothers, Robert Hannon, Allouez, and Cliff Hannon, De Pere; sister-in-law, Joan Hannon, Florida; nieces and nephews: Barb (Robert) Steckart, Sue Thompson, Nora Hannon, Tim Hannon, Holly Meyer, Mike (Gwen) Hannon, Terry (Don) O’Keefe, Debbie Albers, Joe (Barb) Hannon, Jon (Mary Ellen) Hannon, Mary Kay (Scott) Brosteau, Kathleen (Scott) Magee, Jim (Laurie) Hannon, Dave (Lila) Hannon, Liz Hannon, Nancy Hahn, Jeff Hahn, Steve Hahn, Bruce (Diane) Hahn, Judy Sturdy, Sue Battaglia and Lori Uguccioni; many great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and many wonderful caring friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine (Bob) Josephs, Mary Jane (John) Hahn, brothers; Frank (Margaret) Hannon, Harold (Bea) Hannon, and Richard Hannon; sisters-in-law, Betty Hannon and Florence Hannon; and two nephews, Tim Hahn and Pete Hannon. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday at St Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII Circle, off Sportsmans Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial 11a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the Hannon family. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staffs of Green Bay Oncology, Jack and Engrid Meng Residence at Unity Hospice.
