Shirley Coenen, age 78, of Wrightstown, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at a local hospital surrounded by her children. The daughter of the late Howard and Johanna Vande Hey was born September 19, 1938, in Green Bay. On November 27, 1963, she married Gerald “Jerry” Coenen St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown, and is now re-united with him in heaven. She will be missed by her children: Paul (Renee Villers) Coenen, Jana (Randy) Geurts, Joe (Lisa Mancoske) Coenen, Alicia (Tim) Ehlke, Kara (Peter) Wills, and Deanna (Chris) Mancoske; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother Roger (Patricia) Vande Hey; sisters-in-law: Mary Weyenberg and Alice Coenen; as well as “adopted” family and friends. She was loved by all. In addition to her husband, Jerry, she was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, on Friday, December 9, from 3:30pm until 7:30pm, with a parish prayer service to conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning, at the church, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday with Rev. Brian Wideman officiating.
