Scott C. Lecaptain

January 13, 1957 — January 20, 2019

Scott C. LeCaptain, age 62, of Green Bay, was called to heaven on January 20, 2019. The son of the late Charles and Grace (Fabry) LeCaptain was born January 13, 1957 in Green Bay. Scott spent a lifetime dedicated to the art of carpentry. He most recently worked for 22 years in the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters as a journeyman carpenter, job supervisor, council representative, council delegate and two terms as president of Local 955. His current employment was with the Frank O. Zeise Construction Co. Inc.

Scott loved watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, with his friends. He enjoyed hanging out with the guys “solving the world’s problems” in Mike’s garage-man-cave. Scott had tremendous respect for nature and an interest in preserving it. Scott and his wife, Jayette, enjoyed landscaping and gardening in their beautiful yard. He passed along his love of bird watching to his grandson, Jack. You could always count on Scott to help others, whether they were friends or strangers. Scott and Jayette had a love of dogs and cherished spending time with Lily and Gracie during their walks.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jayette; step-children, Megan (Bucky) Henschel and their children Jalyn, Jack and Elliot (who is due in April) of Manawa; Adrienne Reynolds (Jeff Barnow) of Colorado; mother-in-law, Priscilla Schroeder of De Pere; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mark Schroeder (Mona King) of De Pere, Nanette (Carl) Mongin of Green Bay, Clay (Janell) Schroeder of Hazelhurst, Catherine (Al) Mora of Florida, Laura (Jim) Van Hefty of De Pere and Kim (Edmund) Lobato of Florida; sister-in-law, Monica Gilboa of New Mexico; former mother-in-law and father-in-law, Norm and Rae Kudick of Green Bay; former brother-in-law David Kudick (Michelle Lang) of De Pere and former sister-in-law, Cheryl (Barry) Crisp of Florida; Godchildren, Derek Kudick and Valerie Kudick; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends that were family to Scott.
