Ruth E. Pahnke, 83, Green Bay, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born November 9, 1930 in the Town of Gibson, WI, daughter to the late William and Wilhelmina (Gauger) Krueger. Ruth graduated from Denmark High School and married Harlan Pahnke, June 11, 1949, he preceded her in death December 19, 1987. Ruth farmed with her husband early in life and later became a home heathcare provider. She enjoyed her flower gardens and watching the birds and small animals around her yard. She will be deeply missed by her five children: son, Russ and Bonnie Pahnke and their children: Tim and special friend, Allison; Mike and Jolene (Jayden, Savannah and baby due in October); Kelly and Kevin Donlon (Brady and Autumn); Bridget and fiancé, Jared Kufner; son, Craig Pahnke and special friend, Julie; Craig’s children: Phil and fiancée, Heidi Schneider; and Keith; daughter, Sue and Gary Jaeger and their children: Beth and Akhmim Jones (Langston and Lennon); Ben and special friend, Jess; and Jacob; daughter, Nancy Ihlenfeld; daughter, Marsha Simonis and special friend, Mike; and her children: Tina and Justin Rasmussen (Nathaniel and Eli); Dawn and special friend, Cory; Kayla and Victor Rolon (Calli, Arabella and Victor, Jr.); sister-in-law, Elaine Krueger; and brother-in-law, Ken and Barbara Pahnke; foreign exchange student, Guillermo (Billy) Vizcaino from Ecuador; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings: Helen (Julius) Reckelberg, Armin (Louise), Julius (Irmgard), Henry (Coralie), William Jr., Gertrude (Eugene, Sr.) Dahlke, and August Krueger; and a brother-in-law, Alden (Ruth) Pahnke. Family and friends may call Friday, May 30, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of funeral service at 5:00 p.m. at Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church, 3186 Eaton Road, Green Bay, with the Rev. Stephen Sauer officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
