Roseann M. Verboomen, 89, of Kaukauna, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012, peacefully with her loving family at her side at Brewster Village in Appleton. She was born in Little Chute on May 22, 1922 to the late Henry and Mary (Van Groll) Vanden Boogard. Roseann married Clarence Verboomen at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute on July 26, 1945. They celebrated 43 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 10, 1989. Roseann was a very generous and loving mother, grandma and great-grandma. In raising her family of 9 children, she was the “heart of the family. Her family was her pride and joy. She treasured every visit with family and friends. She was a very humble and giving person who made time for everyone and helped anyone in need. Roseann enjoyed sending many beautifully hand written cards and notes to her family and friends. She was well known for her baking skills and would often have some desserts on hand. Roseann also loved playing cards with her family where her quick wit surfaced often. Roseann is survived by 6 sons and 3 daughters and their spouses, Dave (Mary), Kaukauna, Bill (Diane), Little Chute, Wayne (Marianne), Appleton, Norb (Mary), Kaukauna, Dan (Doris), Kaukauna, Marty, Appleton, Sue (Bill) Vanevenhoven, Wrightstown, Rose (Dave) Chaudoir, Brussels, Mary Ann (Ken) Rohan, Bear Creek; 23 grandchildren, Chris (Kay), Steve (special friend Amy), Amie (special friend Nick), Tim (Jenni), Todd (Amy), Julie (Forrest), Chad (Beth), Sarah (boyfriend Corey), Amanda, Anna (boyfriend Spencer), Jason (Beth), Scott (Amy), Phil (Shannen), Matt (Carrie), Laura (Paul), Michelle (Todd), Dan, Kristin, Greg, Steve, Tiffani, Emily and Natalie; also 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Kenny and Nicky and one great grandchild, Santanna. She is also survived by her loving sister, Agnes Vanden Berg (special friend Earl), Appleton, and a brother, Harry (Glady) Vanden Boogard, Kimberly; brothers-in-law, Paul (Jane) Verboomen, Lakewood, and Carl (Linda) Verboomen, Wrightstown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her sisters, Clara (Willard) Wildenberg, Marian (Richard) Vande Voort; Margaret (Ray) West, Theresa Vanden Boogard, father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Mary Verboomen, brothers-in-law, Romuald (Kay), Leonard, and sister-in-law, Josephine (John) Stienen. Family and friends may call Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 3:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m. at DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St., Wrightstown, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for St. Clare Parish-St. Paul site, Wrightstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday at church, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery. We would also like to express our appreciation to the Hospice staff from Theda Care at Home, especially Chaplain Jordan and family friend, Joyce Lamers. Your laughter and especially your kindness shared to everyone will never be forgotten.
