Rose (Peltier) Swan

Rose M. (Peltier) Swan, 85, formerly of Allouez, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2013. She was born October 27, 1927 in Madison, WI, daughter to the late Edward and Rosetta (Pharness) Blankenheim. Rose graduated from Madison West High School in 1946. Rose married Daniel Joseph Peltier on November 15, 1947 in Madison, and he preceded her in death on January 31, 1971. She married George C. Swan on August 2, 1975 at Resurrection Parish in Allouez, and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2013. Rose was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross, Concerned Hearts Club (Bellin Hospital), Mobile Meals, and was an active member of Green Bay Heart Care. Rose loved cooking and baking, entertaining friends and family, playing cards, golfing and travelling in addition to being a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Rose is survived by children, Daniel (Brigitte) Peltier, Jean Peltier, Jill (Tom) Hasseler, Michele Peltier, Lisa (Ed) Miller, Mary Morrison, Amy (Tom) Ihde, Stephen (Karen) Swan, Betsy (Geno) Pichette, and Kevin Swan; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy Blankenheim; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Rose joins her many other family and friends that have preceded her in death. Family and friends may call Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Richland Center, WI. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. The family extends a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Grand Horizon’s CBRF in Kimberly and ThedaCare Hospice for all the kindness and compassion shown to Rose and her family.
