Rose Mary Mcvey

Rose Mary McVey, age 92, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019. The daughter of the late Fred and Frances (Verheyen) Aerts was born August 29, 1927 in De Pere. She married Don “Chief” McVey on August 30, 1947 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere, and he preceded her in death. Rose Mary worked for the Lee Store in De Pere for many years and the Christmas Connection in West De Pere. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, collecting dolls, shaking dice and playing cards with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children: James “Barney” (Janet) McVey, Joyce (Bob) Paul, June Manders, Sharon McVey Lange, Glenn (Jeanne) McVey and Randy (Karen) McVey; grandchildren: Matt, Amy, Brian, Troy, Adele, Antonette, Tami, Mike, Keri, Ryan and Ross; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings: Marge Buresh, Gerry (Pete) VandenBogart, Pat (John) Geurts; brother-in-law, Red Meyer; as well as other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Don, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Les Lange and her siblings.
Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Friday, December 13, from 3:00pm until 4:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00pm Friday with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting with arrangements.
