Rose Mary Cavil

May 17, 1940 — January 31, 2019

Rose Mary Cavil (Hutjens)
Rose Mary was born on May 17, 1940 to Sue (Vanden Hoogen) and Ray Hutjens in Green Bay – the oldest of ten children. Rose Mary graduated from De Pere High School in 1958 and became an employee of the Unified School District of De Pere where she was a bookkeeper and payroll specialist for thirty years.
She met Richard Cavil the night he returned home from service. They married June 7, 1960. Together they had five children; Dan and Julie Cavil, Laura and Joe Boehm, Dennis and Jane Cavil, Anne and Tom Gerrits and Cindy and Rob Wittl. As each of their children were expecting their first child, Rose Mary designed a six month crib and Dick built each one by using an “old” wood lathe and turned out each spindle. These cribs are now being used by their great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Dick, and children, she is survived by her grandchildren: Danielle (Zak) Petersen, Samantha (Isaac) Minor, Kyle Cavil, Heidi (Steve) Belekevich, Stephanie (Kyle Conlin) Boehm, Brad (Erika Franken) Boehm, Cassaundra (Jon) Swanson, Nicholas (Breanna) Gerrits, Craig (Haley Martin) Gerrits, Adam Cavil, Jacob Cavil, Taylor Wittl and Sean Wittl; eight great-grandchildren; Sisters: Jean Guerts, Joanne (Bill) Wegner and Betty (Dave) Thaldorf; Brothers: Ken (Mary), Stan (Marcia), Roger (Diane), Gordy (Debbie); brother-in-law: Bruce Melton; Dick’s siblings: Anita (Leo) Kerkhoff, June (Steve) Schuchart, Betty (Tom) Rottier, Diane (Leroy) Rukamp, Randy (Doris) and Jerry (Norma).
Rose Mary was proceeded in death by a sister, Dottie Melton and brother Paul Hutjens, as well as her parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law: David (Dorothy) Cavil
