Ronald Vaughn Jones

Ronald V. Jones, 87, long-time resident of Allouez, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Angel’s Touch Assisted Living. The son of the late Vaughn and Anna Mae (McWilliams) Jones was born on April 21, 1928 in Illinois. He graduated from Loyola University and on February 5, 1955 married Mary Beth Price in Chicago. The couple moved to Allouez in 1968. Ron had served his country in the United States Army and worked for 38 years at A.C. Nielsen. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was a long-time active member of Resurrection Catholic Parish in Allouez. Ronald is survived by his daughter Catherine Jones (Richard Neupert) and their daughter, Sophie Neupert of Athens, GA; his son Thomas Jones (Betty) of Allouez; his son Matthew Jones (Holly Bonnicksen-Jones) of Mount Horeb, WI and their children: Emily Jones and Meghan Jones of Madison, WI; his son Daniel Jones (Lisa Stark-Jones) and their children: Sam Jones and Liam Jones of Bellevue; his daughter-in-law Robbyn Jones of Sikeston, MO; brother Charles Jones (Joan) of Mundelein, IL; sister-in-law Edna Pauly of Withee, WI; brother-in-law John Price (Patricia) of Schaumburg, IL; brother-in-law Edward Price (Mary) of Palatine, IL; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Mary Beth and parents, Ron was preceded in death by his son Larry Jones; brother-in-law Leo Price, Jr. and his wife, Marge Price and his brother-in-law George Pauly. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Avenue, De Pere, on Wednesday, March 2, from 4-6pm, with a parish prayer service at 6pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, from 10:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00am Thursday with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating and Msgr. James Feely concelebrating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Ron’s name to Resurrection Catholic Church or the Williams Syndrome Association (https://williams-syndrome.org/).
