Ronald "Ron" G. Neerdaels, Sr.

November 26, 1932 — August 15, 2023

Ronald G. Neerdaels, Sr., 90, of Bellevue, said, “See you later Alligator” one last time on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Ron was born in De Pere on November 26, 1932, to Maurice H. and Ceil (Smith) Neerdaels. He would later welcome his stepmother, Adeline Neerdaels, to his family.

Ron graduated from Catholic Central High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Marlene, and together they raised 7 children.

Ron spent many of his working years lending a hand to various businesses, eventually retiring from Schreiber Foods. He and Marlene also started their own business, Packer Valley Title Corporation.

They worked very hard to provide for their children and loved spending time at their cottage on the Menominee River near Marinette, WI.

As much as they enjoyed working together, Ron and Marlene also loved attending Packers Games, and even traveled to many away games and a Super Bowl. He was an avid cross-country skier and was very involved in The Great Lakes Challenge Ski Club. Ron also loved to hunt and enjoyed sharing his stories of hunting adventures.

His love for God and country was apparent in his life. Ron was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Allouez and was able to go on a Glory Honor Flight that he found to be very moving.

Survivors include his children: Sue (Greg) Lubinski, Julie Baird, Laura (Andy) Farah, Chuck (Natalia) Neerdaels, Mike (Jenni) Neerdaels, Mary Bauer and Ron, Jr. (Paula) Neerdaels; his 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with another on the way; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene and his parents and his mother and father-in-law.

From his family to his friends, to his caregivers and nurses, Ron touched the hearts of everyone he met- and their lives have been enriched because he was in it.

He battled many ailments and illnesses, and his body was tired. It is good that he has reunited with his adoring wife and is finally at peace. “After a while crocodile.”

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr, Green Bay, from 9:00 am-10:45 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Fr. Tom Reynebeau officiating.

The family would like to thank Unity Hospice, Home Instead and Bellevue Senior Living staff for all the care they provided to Ron in his final months and days.

A memorial fund has been established to the American Legion Sullivan-Wallen Post 11 in Ron’s honor.
