Ronald Pomprowitz

Ronald J. Pomprowitz, age 68, of Allouez, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019. The son of the late John and Delores (Dworshok) Pomprowitz was born August 14, 1950 in Green Bay. On July 1, 1978, he married Christine Zimmer. He was employed at Pomprowitz Appliance Repair for many years, and then worked at Green Bay Packaging and Schreiber Foods. Ron had a reputation as a guy who could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting, as well as spending time at his cottage at Chute Pond. He took a lot of pride in his cottage as he completely remodeled both the inside and outside of the cottage. Lots of time and work went into it.
He is survived by his loving wife, Chris; son Curt (fiancé Heather, her daughter Rory); brother Gerald “Jerry” (Lynn) Pomprowitz and their son Dustin; Ron’s mother-in-law Delores Zimmer. Chris’ siblings: Paula (Bob) Driessnack and their daughters: Missy, Amanda and Kaitlyn; Jim Zimmer and his children Joe, Kim, and Ashley, Nora (Paul) Jones and Dana.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law John Zimmer.
Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, from 4-7pm Tuesday. Memorial service 7pm Tuesday at Cotter with Deacon Mike VanderBloomen officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay.
