Roland Vandenlangenberg

January 15, 1927 — January 21, 2020

LEDGEVIEW – Roland VandenLangenberg passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 surrounded by family. The son of the late George and Louise VandenLangenberg was born January 15, 1927 in Green Bay. On June 17, 1948 he married Carol Denissen and spent 68 years of wedded bliss before her passing.

Roland loved farm life and had the privilege of winning the 1961 Outstanding Young Farmer Award in Oconto Co. After farming in Little Suamico until 1964, they moved for a short time to Green Bay, but followed his heart back to farm life in 1967 in the Town of Rockland. Besides farming, Roland especially loved his faith and family. He had a kind, fun loving soul that attracted many friends and enjoyed playing cards, camping, and travels around the country and abroad.

He is survived by his children, Luann (Dennis) Pansier, Ledgeview; Kathy (Eddie) Quandt, Green Bay; grandchildren: Joel (Kathy) Pansier, Jill (Scott) Brosig, Eric (Nicki) Pansier, Christopher (Jessica) Pansier, Teina (special friend Chuck Fameree) Rowell, Paul (Petula) Rowell; ten little ones that call him great-grandpa and dad to many foster children. He is further survived by sisters Ruth Watermolen, and Nancy (Roger) Denis; in-laws Ann Vanden Langenberg, Barbara DeGroot and Jim (Kathy) Denissen.

Sadly, Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, and son Michael. Also passing before him were the following siblings – Johanna (Ed Thomsen/Robert LeSage), Leona (Ronald Lelou), Don (Ceil), Wilbert (Karen), Patsy, Lawrence (Dorothy), Betty (Richard LeSage), Clifford; as well as in-laws Harold Watermolen, and Judy (Roland Belschner).
