Roger Kralovec

February 19, 1932 — November 8, 2018

Roger Kralovec, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at McCormick Assisted Living where he had been a resident for the past three years. He was born in Green Bay, WI on February 19, 1932 to Edward and Alberta (Van Oss) Kralovec. He graduated from Catholic Central High School (Notre Dame Academy) in Green Bay.

Following high school, Roger was proud to have served in The Army with the First Division (Big Red One) during the Korean War. After returning home, he married Judy Peters on July 19, 1958. Together they had four children, Julie, Mary, Edward and Mark. Roger loved “family Sundays” where they would go for a drive and visit cousins and other relatives. In his later years, he would delight in paying an ‘entertainment tax’ to his grandchildren if they could make him laugh. Roger loved history; reading books and watching movies about anything of historical significance. He also like to travel and saw much of the United States and Canada during his frequent bus trips. Prior to his retirement, Roger was a longtime employee of Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) and previously worked at St. Joseph’s Home for Boys.

Roger will be missed by his children, Julie Heyn, Mary (Tim) Denissen, Edward Kralovec (Susan Finco), and Mark Kralovec; his grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Hatch and their children Leora and Shaelyn; Jared Heyn and his finance’ Kristen Dombek; Ryan (Kelly) Denissen and their children Emmy, Matilda and Kaida; Erin (Danny) Francis and their children, Caleb and Jane; Mark’s children Alek, Jozef and Jarek Kralovec; sister Charlotte Finnegan; sister-in-law Kay Kralovec, brother-in-law Ken Vande Walle; as well as many surviving nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife Judith (Judy) Kralovec; his son-in-law Dave Heyn; daughter-in-law Martha Kralovec; his parents Edward and Alberta Kralovec; his brothers Tom, Earl and Donald; his sister Virginia Campbell and her husband Denny; and sister-in-law Marie Kralovec.

The family would like to thank the staff of McCormick Assisted Living for the kind and loving care they provided to Roger.
