Robert Keane Reeve, 91, Town of Cooperstown, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011, at The Shepherd’s Inn, Seymour. He was born July 15, 1920 in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, son of the late Reginald Carter and Mary Agnes (Keane) Reeve. He graduated from The Tome School, Port Deposit, Maryland and from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Bob served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He married Lila Marie Breneman, June 11, 1946, in Pardeeville, Wisconsin. Bob worked for White House, National Dairy Division of AP in Manitowoc for 31 years, retiring in 1977. He then worked for Brown County Publishing in Denmark for 7 years. He and Lila resided on their farm for 65 years and shared a love for their orchard and gardens. Fresh produce, eggs, or berries were frequently available for sale. Young 4-H members in the Kellnersville area and many adult acquaintances benefitted from Bob’s advice and education about growing good things to eat. He also had a lifelong fascination with railroading. Survivors include his wife, Lila, Seymour; four children: Janet R. (Patrick) Carlton, Las Vegas, Nevada; Lorraine E. (Dennis Kiesling) Reeve, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Dennis A. (Beverly) Reeve, Luxemburg, Wisconsin; and Ann M. (Randy) Patzke, Hastings, Minnesota; four grandchildren: Elizabeth N. Reeve, Daniel G. Patzke, Timothy R. Reeve, and William L. Patzke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alan. Family and friends may call Friday, October 14, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, New Denmark. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in the church cemetery.
