Robert "Gene" Boyea

Robert (Bob) “Gene” Boyea, age 70, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 surrounded by his family. The son of the late Cyril and Audrie (LeMere) Boyea was born February 8, 1943 in Green Bay. He was married to Diana Kuske for 25 years, and together they had four daughters. For the first half of his career, Bob was in the auto dealership business. He later returned to school and worked in the computer business until his retirement, after which he was working part-time in customer service at Broadway Automotive. He married Peggy Ruehr on January 15, 1994. Throughout his life Bob enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, hunting, golfing, woodworking, ice fishing and entertaining his family, where he was known for throwing the biggest pool parties ever and grilling out. Survivors include his wife, Peggy, children: Lisa Boyea (Wayne) and children: Nic (Lisa), Alex, Jason, Tiffany, Sawyer and Jeremy; Laura (Rob) Reed and her daughter Cassy; Lois (Kelly) Rukamp and their children: Joey and Jeffrey; Leslie (Dean) Boyea and her son, Channing; Tami (Chris) Olsen and their children: Sydney, Kendall, Emmersen and Christopher Jr.; Tiffany Brick (John Stoveken) and children: Paige, Madison and Ava Stoveken; a brother: Bill (Carol) Boyea and their sons: Craig, Rich and Scott; a brother-in-law: Jerry (Karen) Pantel, a special cousin, Doug Huskey, and a step-sister, Sue Miller. In addition to his parents, Cyril and Audrie, Bob was preceded in death by his stepdad, Bob Binder and a sister, Eileen. Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, from 9:00-10:45am on Friday, December 27. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
