Robert F. Hannon, 90, Allouez, passed away Monday afternoon, April 2, 2012 after a short illness. He was born May 20, 1921 in Green Bay, son of the late Frank and Mary (Melotte) Hannon. Robert married Betty Jane McDowell on May 1, 1948 at Old St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, De Pere, by Abbot Bernard H. Pennings. Robert was employed as a bookkeeper at Schneider Transport and at Pepsi Cola in De Pere. He then became a trust officer at Associated Bank retiring in 1980. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Parish, Allouez, and had a love of the theater, cooking, politics, and was an avid reader. Survivors are a son, Michael (Gwen) Hannon; grandchildren: Michelle (Eric) Lebrun and their children, Jacob and Annie; and Jennifer (Sabrin) Ismail and their children, Calvin and Kai; a brother, Clifford Hannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his wife Betty, on July 18, 1988; sisters: Catherine, Mary Jane and Shirley; and brothers: Frank, Harold “Buck,” and Richard. Relatives and friends may call at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, TODAY, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
