Robert "Bob" Hofbauer

Robert C. (Bob) Hofbauer, 31, De Pere, went peacefully to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 15, 2012, after a brief illness. He was born on November 5, 1980 in Kokomo, Indiana to John and Mary (Scheer) Hofbauer. A big part of Bob’s life was his education and graduation from Syble Hopp School, De Pere. He was proud to be part of the CP Center’s Adult Program and especially enjoyed swimming at the center. Bob loved boating, car rides, videos, music and bird watching. Most important to Bob was the time spent with his family, especially his sister, Tracie. Bob was a true inspiration and hero to Tracie as she has become a teacher for other children with special needs. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Abbot Pennings Council 3955 in De Pere. Bob is survived by his parents, John and Mary; sister, Tracie of Beaver Dam; maternal grandmother, Lucille Scheer, Menomonee Falls; paternal grandfather, Charles (Anne) Hofbauer, Menomonee Falls; aunts and uncles, Michael (Andy) Scheer; Kathy Scheer; Robert Scheer; Marty (Mike) Emery; Kim (Dave) Luttrull; Char (John) Winters; Jim (Karen) Hofbauer; Tom (Greeta) Hofbauer; many cousins and special friends. He is preceded by his maternal grandfather, Robert Scheer and paternal grandmother, Arleen Hofbauer. Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Knights of Columbus Abbot Pennings Council 3955 service at 6p.m. and parish prayer service at 7p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, March 19, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Dr., Town of Ledgeview from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. A special thank you to the staffs of Fox Run Group Home, CP Center Adult Program and Syble Hopp School for care and friendship given to Bob and his family.
