Robert "Bob" Bielinski

February 24, 1922 — December 19, 2017

Robert “Bob” Bielinski, 95, Denmark, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Son of the late John and Clara (Watzka) Bielinski was born February 24, 1922 in Green Bay. Robert married Viola Denor on May 24, 1950 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. He was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. Bob worked as a cheesemaker and shipping clerk at Steve’s Cheese for 50 years. In 1965, he helped make the world’s largest block of cheddar cheese that went to the World’s Fair in New York. He served as a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels for many years. Bob was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, where he served on the Holy Name Society; member and past Commander V.F.W. Post 6705, Denmark; former All State Quarter Master; Secretary of Catholic Knights Branch 258. He also enjoyed playing bingo and Sheepshead. Survivors include his two children: Deb (Bob) DeGrave, Denmark; Tom (Tracy) Bielinski, Denmark; five grandchildren; Shannon (Derek) Oswald, Josh (Brianna) DeGrave; Connar (Sarah) Bielinski, Adam (fiancé Becca) Bielinski, Noah Bielinski; great-grandchildren: Owen and Gwendalyn DeGrave, Tatum Oswald; brothers: Williard (Josephine) Bielinski, Denmark; and Lonnie (Marketta) Bielinski, Realita, CA; sister, Dolores Doras, Fontana, CA; sister-in-law, Bernice Denor, Whitelaw; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Viola, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jane Malewiski; in-laws, Peter and Catherine Denor; numerous sisters and brothers-in law. Family and friends may visit at All Saints Catholic Church, 145 St. Claude Street, Denmark, on Saturday, December 23, from 9:00am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Kevin Ori officiating, and Deacon Dave Scheuer as the homilist. Full Military Honors will follow the service. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
