Robert A. Marcott

August 17, 1936 — December 2, 2013

Robert A. Marcott, 77, Allouez, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at a local hospital. He was born August 17, 1936 in De Pere, son of the late Adrian and Mildred (Gevers) Marcott. Upon graduation from high school in 1955, Robert served his country in the United States Army stationed in Germany as a telephone operator. He was honorably discharged in 1958. In 1961, he began working at Nicolet Paper Mill where he was employed for 28 years. He was a Union Steward and a strong Union advocate! Robert married Jean Williquette. He was later remarried to Lois Mohr on October 6, 1978 in Green Bay. Robert loved hunting. The activity that gave him most pleasure was dog training. He also enjoyed traveling. He traveled to many places all over the world throughout his life. He loved the Wisconsin Badgers and was a long-time Packer fan. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lois; two children, Brenda Sievert-Marcott and Brian Marcott; step-children: Michael (Linda) Peerenboom, Randall (Shirley) Peerenboom, Craig (Cheryl) Peerenboom, and Burt (Tammy) Vickery; grandchildren: Bo and Tabby Joski, Jenna Marcott, Karina Baynham, Karrah and Seth Sievert, Maria, Cameron, Rayne, Dylan, Sean, and Nico Peerenboom, Christopher and Chelsea Vickery; brother, Rick (Karen) Marcott; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vickie; and two sisters, Mary Marcott and Carol Olejniczak. Family and friends may call Friday, December 6, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Allouez. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, De Pere. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. The family extends a special thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Vincent Hospital Critical Care Unit, Dr. Andrews and Dr. Potts.
