Rita Teresa (Linnenkamp) Carter

Rita (Linnenkamp) Carter, 77, of Greenleaf, passed away peacefully at Unity Hospice on October 27, 2014 rejoining her loved ones who have gone before her. Rita was born in Harper, Iowa on February 13, 1937 to the late Francis and Pauline Linnenkamp. She was joined in marriage to Harold Carter on February 24, 1984 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Allouez. Rita enjoyed life, family members and many friends. She was an avid Packer fan, delighting herself in every win, remaining optimistic after any loss, a true fan through and through. Rita worked for several years at St Vincent Hospital in admissions and then entered the home health care field as a personal caregiver where she touched many lives. Those who knew Rita loved her and enjoyed her resilient spirit, resourceful determination and charming personality. Rita is survived by her sons, Douglas Kimm, Seattle Washington; Gary (Holly) Kimm, McKinney Texas; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Gast, Grand Junction, Colorado; also Jim Carter, Wrightstown and Karen Detrick, De Pere. Siblings, Ione Hanrahan, Cummings, Iowa; Francine (John) Banes, Fairfax, Iowa; Mary Ann Clark, Santan Valley, Arizona; Paul (Carol) Linnenkamp, Perry, Iowa; Karen (Dick) Horras, Richland, Iowa. Grandchildren, Joshua Gast, Jordan Gast, Cheyne (Amy) Gast, Jason Kimm, Annisa Kimm, Dyer Kimm, Matthew Gast, Adam Kimm, Baylee Kimm, Nathan Detrick, Justin Detrick and Morgan Detrick. Rita was preceded in death by her husband Harold, parents Francis and Pauline Linnenkamp and brother, Keith Linnenkamp. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday November 5th at 11:00AM in Harper, Iowa. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family with arrangements.
