Ricky Young

Ricky P. Young, age 65 of De Pere, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Green Bay surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 10, 1952 in Springville, New York to the late Rodney and Verna (Wolfer) Young. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974. On November 30, 1974 he married Valerie Janov in Crystal Falls, Michigan. Rick enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially golfing, fishing, and baseball. He was an avid Packers fan. He also loved the outdoors and playing music, a self-taught musician including guitar, keyboard and harmonica.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie; daughter, Cori; sister and brothers, Rhonda Bloomfield, Randy (Cindy) Young and Ron (Laurie) Young and mother-in-law, Jamie Janov. Rick is further survived by sisters-in-law; Louise (Bob) Ahola and Mary Humphrey, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother-in-law, Dave Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Judy Young and father-in-law, Joseph “Red” Janov.

In keeping with Rick’s wishes, no services will be held.
