Richard Ray Lund

October 3, 1962 — May 23, 2020

Richard (Rich) R. Lund, 57, of De Pere, passed away on May 23rd, 2020 after battling brain cancer. He was born on October 3rd, 1962 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to the late Raymond and Evelyn (Wold) Lund. They moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin when Rich was a young child.
Rich graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1981. He was always proud to be a Red Devil. He then went on to college at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and earned an Architectural Associate Degree and a Civil Engineering Technology Associate Degree. Rich proceeded to earn a Master Plumbers License. He used this education in his career at Reeke Marold, where he was a Master Plumber and Project Manager for 28 years. He retired in October 2019 when he was diagnosed with brain cancer.
On June 8th, 1991, Rich married Sharon Lom. Together, they raised 3 beautiful children. Rich’s kids were his greatest joy. He loved coaching his son, Mike, in hockey and baseball for several years. Rich also enjoyed supporting his daughters, Katy and Mikala, in sports and other activities throughout the years as well. He frequently said that his kids were the best thing that ever happened to him.
Rich is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Katy, Mikala, and Michael Lund; sisters Judy (Bob) Biemel, Sandy (Richard) Kittridge, Kristine (George) Fitzgerald, Jeanne (Michael) Coonen; sister-in-law, Roxanne Lund, Shannon (Jason) Attreed; father and mother-in-law Robert and Celeste Lom; brothers-in-law Scott (Maria) Lom, and Tim Lom. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Michael Lund, and his nephew, Eric Lund.
Family and friends may gather at the Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave. – De Pere, WI to celebrate Rich’s life on Saturday, June 6th. Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until 11:45AM, service to follow at 12:00 PM. with Father Matt Faucett officiating. Due to current federal and state recommendations regarding COVID19 safety, family and friends who wish to attend the visitation and service for Rich are encouraged to wear a mask if they wish.
Rich’s family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone at Reeke-Marold Company for their generosity and support during his illness and to the nurses and social workers at Heartland Hospice for their excellent care.
