Richard (Dick) Ohlrogge, 87 passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
The son of the late Claude and Edith Ohlrogge was raised in Loyal, Wisconsin. Dick served in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Corpsman, attended Wartburg College and was a pharmaceutical representative for most of his career. After his retirement he was a bailiff for the Brown County Court House until he retired permanently at the age of 80.
Dick loved to explore and enjoy life and the world around him. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and feeding his backyard birds. He was an avid football and basketball fan - rooting for the Packers, Badgers, and the UWGB Women’s Basketball. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His gentle nature, quick wit and humor will leave an enduring memory with all who knew him.
Dick is survived by his wife Michelle; children Lisa Schaefer and Stacy (Bob) Dahowski; grandchildren Matt (Laura Grovogel) Fisher and Chad (Bridgette Binczak) Fisher; brothers-in-law Bill Kinsman and Willie Frost; nephew Robbie (Kelly) Frost; nieces Kathy (Mike) Fritz and Nancy (Nils) Kinsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet Kinsman, nephew Mark Kinsman and son-in-law, Karl Schaefer.
Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Bellin Health and Unity Hospice for all their support.
Per Dick’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
