Richard J. Tauber, 66, Denmark, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his dear friend, Charlie Winnekins home. He was born March 27, 1948 in Green Bay, son of the late Richard and Georgien (Nitz) Tauber. He graduated from Denmark High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enlisted on April 3, 1968 and spent a year and half in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam service medal with 5 campaign stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, three overseas Service Bars, Sharpshooter Badge, and was honorably discharged on April 2, 1971. He fought in Vietnam for us, then fought his own battle with cancer, both he did standing proud and strong, with strength, dignity and bravery. Gone too soon…he will be missed greatly. Richard was a great friend, brother, son, and soldier. His is survived by one brother, Doug Tauber; one sister, Linda Tauber; and many aunts and cousins. Family and friends may call Monday, January 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 Cty R, Denmark.
