Richard "Dick" Hockers

Richard W. “Dick” Hockers, 94, Green Bay, passed away August 28, 2010. Son of Albert and Ann (Linskens) Hockers was born on July 8, 1916. On May 9, 1938 he married Lavonne Johanski. Survivors include his wife, Lavonne; children: Laurel “Wow” Mencheski and Randy Hockers; grandchildren: Carol, Cheryl and Jeffrey Mencheski; brother, Don Hockers; sisters-in-law: Bernice Hockers, Marge Hockers, and Arlene (Les) Krug; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel (Butch); son-in-law, Robert Mencheski; brothers: Roland, Elmer and Howard Hockers; sisters, Sr. Alberta and Dorothy; and good friend and hunting companion, Tim Robertson. Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John the XXIII Circle, off Sporstman Drive, Town of Ledgeview, from 9:30a.m. until 10:45a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Thursday at 11:00a.m. with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
