Richard "Dick" Heyrman

March 17, 1938 — April 19, 2023

Richard J. “Dick” Heyrman, age 85, of De Pere, passed away April 19, 2023 due to complications from surgery with his family at his side. During his last day, he was able to meet with each family member individually to give them detailed instructions on what needs to be done after he passed. The son of Edward and Josephine (Hazaert) Heyrman was born on March 17, 1938 in Green Bay. On March 12, 1987 he married Joan Fonder in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dick worked many years as a bricklayer, owning his own company with Norm Champeau called Champeau and Heyrman Masonry. Dick mentored many young men into the trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and was an expert micromanager. He was awarded Friend of the Year 2013 from The Wildlife Sanctuary where he spent many hours volunteering his masonry skills. His many friends and family will remember him for his sharp wit and humor, as well as his ability to turn any stranger into a friend. He and Joan are members of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ledgeview.

Survivors include his wife Joan; children: Debbie (John) Janssen, Sandy (Jeff) Messner, Terry (Carol) Heyrman, Gina (Michael) Detienne and Stephanie (Chris) Brault; grandchildren: Ryan, Abbey, Bryce, Ethan, Kaleigh, Zoey, Vincent, Gavin and Evan; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Jayda, Kynnedi and Skylar; siblings: Betty Vandenlangenberg, Margaret Champeau; sister-in-law Mary Heyrman; Joan’s siblings: Barb (Steve) Derenne, Ellen (Dale) Mocco, Sue (Steve) Daubner, Carol (Arden) Christensen, Mary (Ken) Braband and Jeanne (Kurt) Kamperschroer; as well as nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
