Richard C. Jaskolski, 87, De Pere, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012. He was born in Pulaski on November 18, 1924. Richard married Dorothy Meeuwsen on December 30, 1951 at St. Mary Catholic Church, De Pere. She passed away on February 4, 1989. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Richard attended daily mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere. He was a member of the De Pere Mens Club. He also enjoyed watching sports. Surviving are five children: Mary Jane Jaskolski, Richard (Sandi) Jesse, Jeanne Jaskolski, Julie (Randy) Phillips, and Ed Jaskolski; grandchildren: Matthew (fiancé Kristen) and Michelle Jesse; and Ben, Tony, and Betsy Phillips. Also surviving are brothers: Fr. Nathan Jaskolski, OFM; Fr. George Jaskolski, OFM; and Fr. Bronislaus Jaskolski, OFM. Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 10 AM until time of mass. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11AM with Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Full Military Honors will follow at the church. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
