Raymond ""Toby"" Vandenack

Raymond “Toby” Vandenack, 88, De Pere, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016. He was born in Green Bay, on August 21, 1928. Toby married the late Genevieve (Demboski) on October 4, 1947 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania. Toby served in the United States Navy from 1945-1949 where he was issued a World War II Victory Medal and an American Area Medal. Toby was employed by Northern Paper Mill (currently Georgia-Pacific) for nearly forty years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Toby passed on his love and a great appreciation for the outdoors to his children. Toby is survived by his six children: Michael (Mary Vidani) Vandenack, Austin, Texas; David (Ann) Vandenack, Green Bay; Lynn (David) VandeYacht, Green Bay; Toby Ray (Sandra Markham) Vandenack, Green Bay; Chris (Steve) Quinette, Green Bay; Michelle (Dan) Iglewski, Arizona; six grandchildren: Anna (Adam) Costello, Green Bay; Ryan VandeYacht, Green Bay; Jenna Quinette, Chicago; Kyle Quinette, Houston; Angela Vandenack, Green Bay; Tyler Iglewski, Arizona; and one great grandchild, Violet Costello , Green Bay. Toby is further survived by his brother Jim Vandenack, sister Mary “Sis” Legois, a very special friend Carol Adams, along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Genevieve; brother Alan Vandenack; sister Donna Katers; grandson Eric VandeYacht. Family and friends may visit at St. Matthew Catholic Parish, 130 St. Matthew St., Allouez, on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9:00am until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Toby at 10:30am with Rev. Robert Kabat officiating, with full military honors to follow. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
