Raymond Charles “Chuck” Schmitt, age 70, of Lark, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at a local hospital. The son of the late Ernest and Lillian Schmitt was born August 25, 1947 in Green Bay. He graduated from Preble High School and during his career worked at Brown County Mental Health Center, ran a tavern, ran a resort in Crivitz, and most recently cared for his father and mother. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Crivitz, loved his cats and dog Rusty, and enjoyed living in his house in Lark. Surviving Chuck are his brothers: Ken (Shirley) Schmitt and Bob (Sue) Schmitt, as well as nieces and nephews, other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his sisters: Kay Schmitt, Mary Ann Fisher and Shirley Lettman. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, on Wednesday, November 8, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm. Interment in Holy Martyrs of Gorkum Cemetery in Green Bay. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to either Paul’s Pantry or the Humane Society. Our family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay and Chuck’s friends and neighbors in Lark for their care and concern.
