March 2, 1953 — September 21, 2019

Randall “Randy” Wegner, age 66, of Maribel, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Randy was born March 2, 1953 to Herman and Mildred (Kasten) Wegner in Manitowoc, WI. During his childhood, he attended St. John’s Lutheran School in Maribel and went on to attend Manitowoc Lutheran High School, from which he graduated in 1971. He later attended UW Madison where he took the Agricultural Short Course and earned his associate degree.

He was also a member of the Equity Livestock Board, St. John’s Lutheran School Board, and served two terms as President of St. John’s Lutheran Church and also served on the church council.
There were many things Randy enjoyed in life. Shooting trap, driving and caring for his corvette, watching football- especially a championship Super Bowl game, lending a helping hand to the neighbors he adored, and the cherished time he spent watching his son, Nathan, racing. Randy also had a deep and honored appreciation to be the fifth generation farming the family homestead. He knew the value of a hard day’s work and truly loved the work he did. His dedication to his family and his community was felt by all.
