Ralph F. Lyons

Ralph Lyons, age 76, a longtime resident of the Denmark/Maribel area passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017. He was born in July of 1941, to the late Donald and Lorraine (Schiesser) Lyons, the third child of ten and grew up in Algoma. Ralph married the late Sharon Brunner and together they had one son. Ralph was a Denmark volunteer fire fighter and paramedic for Viking Rescue. He worked many years as a mechanic for the Denmark Co-Op and performed on the farm tire repair services. He later drove truck for various local construction firms until his retirement. Throughout his life Ralph was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and bowler. He was a member of the ABC Big 4 club for picking up a 4-6-7-10 split. In retirement he could be found riding his garden tractor, fishing, watching the races at 141 Speedway, or NASCAR races on TV. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Kara Lyons, Two Rivers; brothers and sisters, Pat Lyons, Gerald (Geraldine) Lyons, Margaret Schweppe, John (Carol) Lyons, Paul (Evie) Lyons all of Two Rivers, and Kathy Brunette, Mississippi. Ralph is further survived by his in-laws, Blossom Bierke, Green Bay and Ron (Carolyn) Brunner, Maribel; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his wife, Sharon and his three brothers, Jim, Robert and Tom. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel, on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, from 10:00am until 10:45am at Zion United Methodist Church, 231 Chicago St, Denmark, with service to follow at 11:00am with Pastor Laura Riemer officiating. The family would like to thank everyone at Scandinavian Court, Atrium Care of Two Rivers and the many doctors, nurses and staff at Aurora Baycare that helped treat him during the past year of medical issues.
