Phyllis S (Schreckenberg) Smith

Phyllis Smith, age 91 of Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was born on April 23, 1927 to the late Frederick and Ruth (Olin) Schreckenberg in Neenah Wisconsin. On October 18, 1952 she married Raymond G. Smith who preceded her in death, July of 2008. She worked for several years as a Branch Manager of a Savings and Loan. Together with her husband, she enjoyed camping and taking their motorhome to visit their children and friends in various parts of the country. Phyllis also enjoyed doing embroidery and all her dogs through the years; Skeeter, Dwert, Mikey and Tippy. She was a loving mother who supported her children, but taught them to stand on their own two feet.

She is survived by her children; Raymond G. (Tudi) Smith Jr., Montana, Timothy (Linda) Smith, Green Bay, and Eileen (Chris) Mincey, Florida. Phyllis is further survived by her grandchildren, Alette, Sarah, Rebecca and Christopher.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond, brothers Frederick Schreckenberg, who lost his life defending his country during World War II, and Robert Schreckenberg.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, May 11, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2911 Libal Street, Green Bay with a memorial service to follow at 3:30pm with Pastor Lori Swenson officiating.
