Phyllis Hansen, 84, Denmark, passed away peacefully Saturday March 26, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Born to the late Clifford and Grace (Johnson) Pelischek, Phyllis grew up on her parents farm in Cooperstown. She was born at home in Cooperstown. Being the oldest girl, she watched her siblings while others were doing farm work. Graduated with honors from Denmark. She was very proud of playing (clarinet) in the Denmark High School Band and performing in Madison and many other parades. She loved to sew, plant garden and flowers. Phyllis always had a good time and was the life of the party wherever she went. She loved all children and did whatever she could for anyone who needed it. She hoped that she never hurt anyone, and if she did, she hoped that they had forgiven her, and she was sorry. She surely will be missed by many! She married Robert Hansen August 6, 1955, raised five children while she was a bookkeeper for Robert’s Business, Hansen Oil, along with numerous other jobs. Her most joyful was taking care of her family. Phyllis enjoyed attending her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s sporting events, a member of the Women’s group at church, her card club, cooking, and it has been said “she never met a slot machine she didn’t like”.
Surviving is her husband Robert, their children; Kip (Debbie), Pam (Hank), Gwen (Mike), Chris, Lana (Mike), grandchildren; Bryan(Emily), Katie (Katie), Richard, Mitchell, Kali (Sam), Melissa (Whitney), Alex, Brad (Hannah), Craig (Kristen), Leah, great grandchildren; Brynlee, Baylee, India, Kailey, Isaac, Laken, Dominique, Veronica, Jameson, Siblings; Don (Johanna), Mike (Doris), Gary (Carol), Karen (Terry), Harlan (Margaret), Ricky (Mary), Randy (Doris) along with many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death were her parents, sister; Donna Gail, Toots (Bob), JoAnn (Rollie), Corrine (Tommy) and Joe Hallada.
