Peter C. Vander Heiden, 48, Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 30, 2010. He was born May 28, 1962 in Kaukauna to Lloyd and Mildred (Van Hammond) Vander Heiden. Pete graduated from Kaukauna High School with the class of 1981. He was then involved in the trucking industry for all of his life. Pete had a strong passion for horse pulling and was a member of the Wisconsin’s Horse Puller’s Association. Pete enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. He was a long time member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown. Survivors include his wife, Linda Vander Heiden; daughter, Stephanie (Fiance, Michael Dailey) Vander Heiden; mother, Mildred Vander Heiden; brothers and sisters: Betty (Guy) Senso, Joyce (Tom) Lamers, Bill (Margie) Vander Heiden, Janet (Mike) Vander Loop, Bob (Debbie) Vander Heiden, and Mark (Sue) Vander Heiden; parents-in-law, Don and Ann Ley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rick (Lisa) Ley, Jean Geiger, Steve (Sue) Ley, Barb (Frank) Martin, Mary Ley, Rose (Scott) Schaefer, and DJ (Jenny) Ley; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; brother, Randy; and uncle, Fran Vander Heiden. Family and friends may call Thursday, June 3, 2010 at De Wane-Cotter Funeral Home, 711 Main St., Wrightstown, from 4:00p.m. until the parish prayer service at 8:00p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:30a.m. until 11:30a.m. when the procession will leave for church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Friday at St. Clare Parish/St. Paul Catholic Church, 437 Main St., Wrightstown. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
