Peter ""Pete"" Meulemans

Peter “Pete” A. Meulemans, 63, Wrightstown, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, July 3, 2011. Pete was born on January 3, 1948, to Adrian and Evelyn (Coenen) Meulemans in Wrightstown. He grew up in a farming family and continued to do what he loved most, farming, until he died still on the family farm where he was born and raised. Besides farming, Pete was an avid sports fan. He was a big Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan, but he always had a special place for the Colts because he was such a Johnny Unitas fan. He was a Wrightstown Tigers fan when his children participated in sports, especially wrestling. Pete is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linn (DeCoster) Meulemans; sons: Jason, Gastonia, NC, Jody (Sara) and their children, Chloe, Grant, Ella, and Saylor of Freedom; Jeremy (Kacy) and their children: Skyler, Jordan and Paityn of De Pere; Janelle (Nathan Sprangers) and soon to be grandchild, Wrightstown; Joel (Stephanie) and soon to be grandchild, Greenville; and Jill, Wrightstown. Also surviving is one brother, Dale (Dolly) Meulemans, and three sisters and brothers-in-law: Nancy (Russ) Titel, Sandy (Lloyd) Gehring and Sherry (Ron Demske). Linn’s family: mother and father-in-law, Norbert and Ruth DeCoster, Little Chute, and brother, Jim (Lyn) DeCoster, Black Creek; and also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Evelyn Meulemans; a brother, Bruce; an infant sister, Charlotte; and a brother-in-law, Bob Schmelter. Family and friends may call Thursday, July 7, 2011, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul site, 437 Main St., Wrightstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 6:00 p.m. Thursday at church, with Fr. Carl Meulemans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
