Paul Joseph Schneider

December 25, 1950 — July 10, 2021

Paul Joseph Schneider, 70, Allouez, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2021.  Paul was born on December 25, 1950 to Raymond and Mildred (Ressler) Schneider.  On June 7, 1974 he married Marlene Kozlovsky at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Wrightstown.  Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve earning the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Paul was a fun-loving cowboy and it was his greatest joy to share his love of horses with his daughters and grandchildren.  He loved golfing, fishing, hunting, and horse camping in the great outdoors.  He was known for his big “Rip Schnortner” bonfires.  He enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and dominoes out on the deck with any willing participant.   Paul’s daughters and grandchildren were absolutely his pride and joy and he never missed an opportunity to tell them.

Paul is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 47 years: Marlene Schneider and their daughters, Tara (Joshua) Vanden Branden, Tami (David) Doyle, Tiffany (Timothy) Van Rheenen.  He is further survived by grandchildren, Hailey, Hannah, and Abby Vanden Branden, Arthur Van Rheenen and future baby Van Rheenen ; brothers, James (Sharon), Raymond (Joan), Joseph, and Daniel (Lisa) Schneider; and sisters, Gloria Schneider and Joyce (John) Protz; mother in law, Margaret Kozlovsky; brothers and sisters-in-law, Patricia and Nancy Schneider, Marcelline (Guy) Cerato, Bonita (Samuel) Welsch, Maggie Eisenman, Christine (William) Ehnerd, Daniel (Renee) Kozlovsky, Joseph (Desiree) Kozlovsky, Theresa (Mark) Farrell, Thomas (Nancy) Kozlovsky, Timothy (Eileen) Kozlovsky, Sarah (Ronald) Evers, Mary (Adam) Sowatzka; many, many dear nieces and nephews and his best pard’ner, Wayne Eisenman.

Paul was preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Mildred Schneider, and father-in-law Bob Kozlovsky, brothers, John and Benedict Schneider, and two nieces.

Family and friends may gather at Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care, 860 N. Webster Ave, on Friday, July 23 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthews St, on Saturday, July 24 from 9:00 – 10:45 am.  A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am with Father Bob Kabat officiating.
